Information for Rescues
As volunteers coordinating the spay/neuter clinic, we all are with other rescue groups, work full-time jobs, take care of families and pets and foster homeless pets. We are sure you can appreciate the extra time it involves for us to coordinte and pull each clinic together. While we most certainly want to help other rescues with the spaying and neutering of the animals in their care, it will be necessary to establish some guidelines so the clinic can run smoothly for both rescues and individuals making use of the clinic.

ONE POINT OF CONTACT
Please assign one person within your group to coordinate the animals being scheduled for surgery within your group and foster care network. Only this person should be submitting applications and should ensure the applications are completed properly with all of the requested information. The spay/neuter applications should be in your group's name with your group's address and phone number as this is what will appear on records and rabies certificates you will be giving to your adopters. You may indicate next to the group name the name of the foster home as we can distinguish that for you on the paperwork.

NO "PLACEHOLDER" APPLICATIONS, PLEASE
If you don't know specifically what animals you will be bringing, please do not submit applications until you know.

LAST MINUTE CHANGES
We can accept changes or substitutions up until noon of the day prior to the clinic. We ask that you please keep this to a minimum but if necessary, we can make changes up to that time. Once the paperwork is printed, no changes can be made. We are not able to make changes or substitutions at the clinic. This creates a paperwork nightmare that affects the whole day since it throws everything out of balance with cage tags no longer matching up to spreadsheets used, resulting in unnecessary errors and confusion with us runnng around trying to figure it out while we are supposed to be watching animals coming out of anesthesia. We are responsible for 60 - 70 pets that day and it is vital we not be needlessly distracted.

LIMIT OF APPOINTMENTS
There is a limit of 10 appointments per rescue group, of which no more than 5 can be for dogs. We are not able to accommodate as many dogs as we can cats. This clinic also serves the general public and it is equally important they not miss out on appointments for their personal pets.

MICROCHIPS
Rescue groups desiring to have their pets microchipped may provide their own microchips. There is a $3 charge to implant the microchip. If you do not have microchips and are a Petfinder member, you can order microchips from 24PetWatch at 1-866-597-2424 at the cost of $4.75 each, 25 chip minimum.
