Maggie May - UPDATE
Maggie May - UPDATE

MAGGIE UPDATE!! Here is Maggie with her new family. It took her a long time to find them and they her. Maggie came into the Hamilton Animal Shelter on December 2, 2010 and was number #224-10. Maggie, a Sharpei/Staffi mix, was one of the sweetest girls AFEW has had the pleasure to work with. AFEW pulled her out of the shelter on August 6, 2011 and boarded her until she was adopted on March 17, 2012 by a wonderful family!

The morning of St. PETricks Day, one of our members said a special prayer to St. Patrick to help her find her home and it worked. It started out "St. Patrick, even though I am a Jewish girl praying to you, please help Maggie find her home." That morning a woman and her 3 children walked up to me and asked where Maggie was. They were there to adopt her! They had no other pets and just wanted Maggie! Prayers were answered that day and many happy tears were shed.

The Knutson Family with Maggie and Marguerite Traegler, manager at Haldeman Ford Subaru and the brain child of St. PETricks day. _________

Unfortunately Maggie has been with AFEW since 2010. For some reason she keeps getting passed over as she sits calmly while other dogs leave with their new families to go to their forever homes. We at AFEW keep asking ourselves WHY? Why doesnt she get a chance?

Maggie is sweet, loves people, is eager to please, good with children, always ready with kisses and smiles. Maggie is ready to please and she appreciates everything you do for her, and she loves to cuddle. She is spayed, up to date with her vaccinations, and is housebroken. So why is it that she is still patiently waiting for her home?? Maggies only fault is that she would want to be your only child, she does much better with no other critters in her home. That is it just no other pets, not a hard criteria to fill.

Maggie has not given up, she still dreams of curling up at your feet while you are resting or working, she would smile proudly when she is walking beside you, and would kiss you whether you are happy or sad. Maggie May would be a best friend to a child or a companion to a nice family. Everyone here at AFEW is praying that Maggie will find her forever home soon as we know it will be such a special time for her and she will be so happy. So, if you have some room in your heart and need a lifelong friend, Maggie is your girl. Wont you be the one to give her that second chance at happiness?

Like the Rod Stewart song says, we would love to sing to her... "Wake up Maggie I think I got something to say to you......YOU HAVE FINALLY FOUND YOUR FAMILY!"

Stella
Stella

Stella is a three year old Am. Staff looking for a loving home. She knows basic commands, and learns new ones in a snap! She might be shy at first, but before long she'll be cuddling with you and giving you kisses. Stella is very energetic, and loves to be active. She enjoys a good game of fetch and long walks in the park just as much as a good snooze. She is good with other dogs, but may be too energetic for small children. Stella has been with us for many months, and is just waiting for a forever family to love. Stella loves a good tennis ball and makes a great jogging buddy. She is good with dogs, but not cats, and loves all people. .

Logan
Logan

Logan with his dashing scarf is ready to go to his new home. He is a good boy who loves attention and playing but also calms down nice and would be a good walking, TV, lounging buddy. Is Logan good with other dogs! You bet! He got a new neighbor in the next kennel who wanted to visit. Both were found hanging out together. Please give these dogs a chance, they may not show well as they lack exercise. Please take that into considerations when looking at them as potential pets.

Snuggles
Snuggles

Snuggles is a very beautiful young cat. She is affectionate and playful, and loves to look out the window. She lives with several other cats, and gets along with them just fine. Snuggles does not like coming to adoption days and being put in a cage, so I leave her at home, but if you would like to see her I can arrange that.

Sandy
Sandy

What can we say about Sandy, she has the sweetest face you have ever seen. She is loving, happy, basically healthy senior girl. She is lively, likes her walks, and enjoys her people. She is good with other dogs as long as they are "not in your face types", take a moment to come and visit with her, you will love her!

Princess
Princess

Princess is very sweet and loves to sit on my lap and be petted. She is approx 6 years old and spayed. Unfortunately her owner passed away and Princess is now in foster care with AFEW.

Molson
Molson

Molson, found as a stray in the Hamilton area, no one has claimed him. He is a good dog, keeps his cage clean and responds well to people. Molson is a resident of the Hamilton Animal Shelter.
